2008 Baseball Registration
Avon Lake Youth Baseball announces registration dates for the 2008 season.
It¹s hard to believe baseball is approaching but it is. The registration
for this summer¹s ALYBF programs will be in February. Please register early
to avoid a late fee and aid the league in planning for another successful
youth baseball season. Registration forms will be available at registration
or on www.avonlakesports.org <http://www.avonlakesports.org/> on the
baseball web page.
The age cut-off dates are April 30, 2008 for boys and December 31, 2007 for
girls. ALYBF will adhere to these dates for player placement for all
leagues except 5 year old T-ball. The cut-off date for 5 year old T-ball is
April 30, 2008 for both boys and girls. The 6-year-old boys will play in a
Rookie league that will include both T-ball instruction as well as
coach-pitch. The girls Ponytail League will be coach pitch. The boy¹s Coach
Pitch league will introduce boys pitching later in the season.
Registration will be Saturday, February 9th and 16th from 9 a.m. until noon
and Thursday, February 21st from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the Avon Lake
High School Commons which is located on the south side of the high school.
First year players must bring a copy of their birth certificate in order to
register. After February 21st a $15 late fee per player will be added to the
registration fee listed below.
Boys & Girls 5 Yr. T-ball $45 Boys 7&8 Coach Pitch $60
Boys 6 Yr. Rookie $60 Boys 9&10 Baseball $70
Girls 6&7 Ponytail Softball $60 Boys 11&12 Baseball $70
Girls 8-10 Softball $70 Boys 13&14 Baseball $95
Girls 11&12 Softball $70 Boys 15-18 Baseball $95
Girls 13-15 Softball $85
Boys or girls 14 year old or older interested in umpiring games should sign
up at registration.
With 1,300 players, Avon Lake Little League Baseball is the largest
recreational group in Avon Lake and directly involves over 4,000 community
members.
